About the Artist
Áine Ní Chíobháin has family roots on the Dingle Peninsula and moved back here permanently after completing an honours degree in fine art from Crawford College of Art and Design in 2006. Ní Chíobháin believes in the healing power of nature and the arts. She tries to make sense of the world around her by immersing herself in her culture and the Irish language and by painting her rich coastal surroundings. Watery reflections and shallow water have been her passion lately.
Ní Chíobháin loves to exhibit in pop up exhibitions in Dingle and in Greenlane Gallery (2025).Other recent successful solo exhibitions of Ní Chíobháin include Gormley’s Fine Art, Dublin (2018), Áras Éanna, Inis Oírr and Cill Rialaig Art Centre, (2016) as gallery hosts. The artist has been selected for the prestigious ‘Impressions Biennale, (2013)’ and the ‘RHA 182nd Annual Exhibition’, Dublin.
When she is not making art, Áine likes to programme events and produce creative projects. “So far, I have produced music videos, books, exhibitions, installations, murals, concerts, curated collaborations, set designs, and locations for film, poems and scripts…you name it! I am always excited about the next creative project. I love to collaborate with other creatives.
